Accused of allegedly attacking a police officer in Lagos, music artist Panshak Zamani, also known as Ice Prince, has been granted bail.

Ice Prince was reportedly released from the Nigerian detention facility in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Thursday, according to his lawyer, Folarin Dalmeida.

“His bail conditions have been met, and he was released yesterday (Thursday),” he said.

Ajah Magistrate Court 1’s Magistrate T.F. Oyeniyi imposed the rapper’s bail terms at N500,000 with two sureties in the same amount.

Due to the unavailability of the prosecution witnesses, his trial was suspended on Wednesday.
Ice Prince’s attorney, Dalmeida, did not make any comment or reference to the absence of the prosecution.

Rapper was detained last Friday, Lagos police spokesman SP Benjamin Hundeyin revealed on his official Twitter account. He was accused of assaulting a police officer.

According to Hundeyin, the former member of Chocolate City was pulled over by the police for driving without license plates, and after consenting to go to the station, he allegedly kidnapped the officer.
