Dr. Idris Salako, the Lagos State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, has resigned from his position.
Salako’s retirement was announced by Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, on Monday in Ikeja without giving a reason.
However, he asserted that the resignation of the commissioner served as a precursor to the ministry’s and its agencies’ reform.
He stated that the commissioner’s resignation was accepted by Governor Sanwo-Olu, who also praised him for his contributions to the state and wished him luck in his future endeavors.
“The governor warns all players in the sector to respect the law or face the consequences of any indiscretion, no matter who the perpetrators are,’’ Omotoso emphasized.
