The 2023 budget is anticipated to be presented to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari in October, according to House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila.

Gbajabiamila dropped the clue on Wednesday after touring the House’s hearing chambers 028 and 234.

Due to the current refurbishment of the House complex, the rooms will act as the temporary chamber.

“I am hoping that the budget will be presented latest by first week of October”, NAN quoted him saying.

The lawmaker added that configuration of the temporary chamber would be done before September 20, date for resumption of plenary.

“We will at the end of the day be proud to have a chamber that will match the best standard all over the world,” he said.

Gbajabiamila stated that since the refurbishment will be finished in August 2023, it would mostly benefit the incoming 10th Assembly.
