Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State, has cautioned PDP supporters in the region to stay away from the Atiku-Wike conflict.
Just before a stakeholders meeting, the governor gave party candidates advice to show respect for the PDP’s presidential candidate and National Executive Committee (NEC).
He said: “I don’t want anyone of us to get involved in the controversy at the national level. It is above us. Leave it to me to handle it as your leader. Certainly, we cannot afford it because it will have consequences on us”.
The governor emphasized that the state’s PDP candidates must avoid the present controversy inside the PDP in order to avoid becoming enmeshed in it.
The state PDP chairman, Alhaji Hamza Akuyam, the vice chairman, Alhaji Bala Hadith, and the party’s campaign director-general for the 2023 election, Honorable Farouk Mustapha, all attended the stakeholders meeting.
Auwal Jatau, a candidate for the position of deputy governor, Speaker Abubakar Y. Suleiman, and Deputy Speaker Danlami Kawule were also present at the meeting
