The Plateau Diaspora Tourism and Culture Agency has been praised by Sir Joseph Ari, Director-General and Chief Executive of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), for their efforts to ensure that Plateau youths aspire to entrepreneurship in the creative industry and have access to the tools necessary for a digital learning/training environment.

The fund has attracted entrepreneurship and innovation advancement, which provide and promote platforms for local and international programs aimed at making it easier for anyone to start and maintain a business, according to Ari, who gave the commendation in Jos at the training of over 700 youths in film production organized by Accelerating the True Potential.

The “Accelerate your True Potential” event is very important to the country’s current economic experience and there is no better time to have this programme than now.

He emphasized that it is essential to look toward other sectors for the sustenance of our future economy and that it is obvious that the nation cannot continue to be dependent on oil.

The program’s organizers, Josephine Ibrahim and Lady Gertrude Longwan Odoala, who are representatives of the United States and the United Kingdom on the board of the Plateau State Tourism Corporation in Diaspora, stated they aimed to train more than one million youngsters.
The team asserted that Accelerating the True Potential of Our Youth will redefine the path that the teaming youths will take in their professional endeavors in the film industry, which will have a significant lifetime impact on how they will behave in the business world, particularly in the film industry.

As a result, the state has become a sanctuary for movie makers.

The public, private partnership (PPP) approach is used by the tourism industry to identify and involve key stakeholders as well as tap into the vast human, financial, and technical resources of the Diaspora community. Tourism is crucial to the socioeconomic development of developed countries.
