Alhaji Sanni Olarewaju Buraimo Okin is the first Turaki of Ilorin and Senator, representing Kwara Central senatorial district during the first republic.
Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki was the second Turaki of Ilorin from the family of Agorobogunbolu in Agbaji and he was also a senator representing the good people of Kwara Central senatorial district from 1979-1983.
Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki was the third Turaki of Ilorin and the eldest son of Late Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki (The second Turaki of Ilorin) he was the senator representing Kwara Central and the first Muslim Senate president of Nigeria from 2011-2019.
Mallam Soliu Mustapha was the fourth Turaki of Ilorin, he was from Gambari community. He’s currently the Kwara Central Senatorial candidate for the All Progressive Congress. He’s the only Turaki from Ilorin East.
