Dr Felix Kehinde, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives candidate Ondo East and West Federal Consistency, has appaulded the security operatives for their resilient skilled strategies to apprehend the perpetrators of the Owo Massacre.
The UK based medical specialist called for speedy and accountable trial while charging the Ondo state Government to intensify effort at beefing security in the state especially at the borders.
The Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, General Lucky Irabor, and Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, yesterday, confirmed the arrest of masterminds of the bloody terrorists’ attack on St. Francis’ Catholic Church, Owo, which left 40 persons dead and several others injured.
Moreover, About 168 suspected invaders were intercepted along the Akure/Ado – Ekiti Road with Over 30 unregistered motorcycles, Charms and weapons were recovered from the suspects who were concealed in two trucks conveying cows.
Amotekun Corps Commander Adetunji Adeleye said the eagle eye of his officers were able to uncover the individuals who were concealed in 2 trucks conveying cows.
Adeleye who expressed concern over the continuous influx of individuals with no clear mission urged residents to avail security agents information about suspicious movements.
