Some graduates are jobless today because they rejected a 50k offer two years ago.
We need to reemphasize in this country that for every field either in business or career, there is always a growth process.
While I don’t support poor remuneration, fresh graduates with no or basic experience need to know that they have to start from somewhere and grow to earn big.
People who earn big did not start earning big the day they started their career. Even the government doesn’t pay its new intake in hundreds of thousands. We need to discourage the get-rich-quick mentality.
Graduates also need to know that salaries are a measure of your worth or the amount of expected energy you are to expend in the organization monthly.
So with your B.Sc Local Government Administration from Igbodele University and you have no basic experience, you have zero idea of using basic computer applications, you want to earn that big salary because Sister Sarah gave testimony of six zero job in church.
I believe in miracles but God can not help you. So go get trained.
Stop being a graduate and nothing else, the world need problem solvers.
Get ready to volunteer. I mean work for free in that your dream organization. Truth is instead of staying at home for six months looking for jobs, if you volunteer while still looking for jobs, you already have a place to add to your CV as experience, you don’t even need to say it in your CV that it is voluntary. Nobody will ask you.
The beauty of it is that, when you eventually get a job, they’ll pro-rate based on what your CV says.
