The Ataoja of Osogbo land, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun has proclaimed that the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, is responsible for his coronation.
According to News Bulletin Nigeria, Oba Olanipekun said this when Senator Ademola Adeleke, a PDP contender for governor of Osun, paid him a visit in his palace, he let everyone know about this.

An Osun based Journalist and owner of docpetinfo.com said it is on the record that Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji was enthroned during the era of PDP, hence, he hasn’t erred for referencing his ascendancy.
“I can see some APC members dragging the Ataoja of Osogbo for calling to order those attacking other members of the opposition party in Osogbo.
“I don’t think the Kabiyesi has done anything wrong that would warranted the dragging. However, some of us have been appealing to our heritage keepers to remain apolitical; they are father to all. Unfortunately, reverse is the case. How would you describe a monarch organising prayer for a candidate to win. And you expect the opponent to respect you and your stool.
“I will appeal to our royal fathers to remain apolitical.” He said.
Also, a correspondent of Within Nigeria, Sodiq Lawal Chocomilo reacted to another point raised by the monarch in the video which has gone viral.
“Have you watched the video where Ataoja of Oshogbo cursed Asiri Eniba for disrupting the peace of the town?
“First, Asiri Eniba is the Gbobaniyi of Oshogbo Land. He was given the chieftaincy title by Oba Jimoh Olanipekun against all odds. I could remember that I wrote a piece to warn the KING about this costly mistake but it appears Oba Jimoh Olanipekun was more interested in the money than the dignity and integrity of the town.
“Asiri Eniba is not a stranger to Oba Jimoh Olanipekun. I strongly believe that no king would ever make someone he hardly knows a chief or someone he has no clue about his profile.
“Oba Olanipekun surely has a working relationship with Asiri Eniba. He ignored all warnings and tears of victims of Asiri Eniba’s atrocities and made him a chief to spite all his victims. He did not care about the feelings of his victims so we care not about how he feels too.
“It is laughable that the same Jimoh Olanipekun that made him a Chief could be seen in a video lamenting and almost crying because his chief, Gbobaniyi has brought him shame and dishonor in the eyes of guests.
“Again, I condemn the actions of Asiri Eniba and call on necessary authorities to investigate the matter. I have no sympathy for Oba Jimoh Olanipekun except condolences. When you made him chief, I was not there.
” Wickedness is like a food. The more we consume, the more the gut.
