A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Kwara State, Honourable Marooph Bukoye Bintinlaye has celebrated the tenth Imam of Offa, Fadhilat Shaykh Muhyideen Salman Usayn on his birthday.
This was contained in a statement signed by Honourable Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye Media (HMBM) on Friday.
According to Bintinlaye, Sheikh Muhyideen has the been an unwavering phenomenon in the propagation of Islam in beyond Kwara State and Nigeria.
In his words, “Imam’s zeal for spreading Islam and encouraging religious tolerance among everyone has greatly helped to uphold peace and serenity in Offa and elsewhere.
“He has been a unwavering pace setter and ambassador of Islam. He is indeed a shining example of Islam and a source of pride for Muslims worldwide.
“It is not out of place to say Imam Muhyideen has raised the Islamic flag to its highest point, yet he continues to do more each day with unwavering tenacity. This is evident in his honorarium from different institutions, especially honoris causa of Doctorate (PhD) from Bradley University, a private institution in Peoria, Illinois.
“It is on the record that he is the first Offa Chief Immam to become the leadership of the Offa Central Mosque Committee, as opposed to the previous situation where the Chief Immam wasn’t even a floor member and had no knowledge of the central Mosque.
“He currently serves as the head of the Council of Chief Imamms for all of Kwara South and is the beloved son and confidant of the Chief Imam of the Ilorin Emirates, who sits at the top of the Kwara State table. There are too many feathers to his cap and more to come.”
Bintinlaye afterwards prayed that may Allah azzawajallah continue to exalt, preserve and protect Imam Muhyideen.
