Some students of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara observing their service year under the National Youths Service Corps, NYSC in Akwa Ibom State have appealed to their fellow corps members across the country to contribute their quota to national developments.

The students made this clarion call while donating items to the NYSC Orientation Camp on the July, 4 2022.

Speaking on behalf of the students, Comrade Jamiu Omoniyi said the donation was to contribute to the continued existence of the Scheme as it is a crucial factor promoting national unity and peaceful co-existence.

Omoniyi also lauded the state NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Chinyere Ekwe for her hospitality and outstanding administrative prowess.

The Corps Members subsequently gifted her Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of FEDPOFFA students.

“We don’t only depend on what we’ll gain from NYSC but also what NYSC will gain from us. On behalf of the The Acting Rector, The Federal Polytechnic, Offa, DSA and all outstanding students of the school, we present these name tags to major hostels in the camp and also Certificate of Appreciation to our loving mummy, the state coordinator. Thank you mummy,” Omoniyi said.

In her acceptance speech, the state Coordinator, Mrs Ekwe appreciated the corp members for their patriotic seal and leaving a good legacy behind in the camp.

She furthermore called on all Corps members in the state to be good ambassadors of the Scheme and contribute their possible best to their employers, host community and NYSC scheme.

The occasion was graced by the camp director, Mr. Kufreh Umoren, The camp Commandant, Captain A.S Sanni among others.
