Nigerians, especially Muslims have been charged to use the period of the Eld-Kabir festival to pray for the state and Nigeria to overcome the present challenges.

This assertion was made by a People’s Democratic Party Cheiftain in Kwara State, Honourable Marooph Bukoye Bintinlaye on Friday.

Muslims around the world will celebrate the Eld-Kabir festival tomorrow, on Saturday.

The federal government designated Monday and Tuesday as public holidays to honor the celebration through the interior minister.

While congratulating the state’s citizens, Honorable Bintinlaye gave them advice to use the occasion to pray for the state and the nation as a whole to overcome current obstacles including insecurity, inflation, and other social issues.

He exhorted the people to rejoice in the expectation of a better future for the state.

Bintinlaye said, “Muslims should embrace the injunctions of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), which teach humility, thanks, and kindness toward one another.

“The Prophet Ibrahim’s sacrifice, which we commemorate, must motivate us to make sacrifices for the development and prosperity of Kwara State and Nigeria. Giving our all in all of our endeavors is what it means to make a sacrifice for our state and country.

“Let’s celebrate this Holy Festival together as Kwara State residents, full of excitement and unwavering faith in the Pacesetter State’s bright future.

“Let’s use this holy occasion to pray for Kwara State and Nigeria to get over their current economic and security difficulties,” Bintinlaye said.
