Residents of Arefunwe – Adap in Akambi III, Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State have lamented the hardship they are experiencing daily due to the poor state of roads, lack of drainage control in the community.
The residents, who complained bitterly about how the deplorable state of the road is affecting their daily activities, added that efforts to seek the intervention of the government in repairing the roads had always proved abortive.
Pastor Rufus Adeyemo, speaking with Àwòko Kwara, said the government needed to support the efforts of the residents by fixing the roads, whose current state was making life unbearable for the users.
“We are begging the Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Senator Yahaya Oloriegbe, and Honourable Gani Cook Olododo to please listen to our cry. There are a lot of resources in our community but we are unable to export and transport them due to the situation of our road.
The member of the CAC church constructed a local bridge as an alternative way of getting to church.
Residents pleaded to the Kwara state government, and individuals to please come to their aid as many people turned homeless due to the havoc anytime there’s rain.
