Students of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa (FEDPOFFA) have reportedly shut the gates of the institution’s Permanent Site while await outcome of convention with the school management.

In a statement by the Students Union Government (SUG) on Monday, the action is said to be “for the betterment of the students.”

The statement was signed by the SUG President, Comrade Orisaniyi Omotayo Samuel (COFACTOR), SUG Public Relations Officer I and II; Olayinka Abiodun Sulyman and Jolayemi Gideon Aduradara.

Comrade Orisaniyi disclosed that part of demands are lighting of the campuses, release of the list of OND graduating students, adequate sport facilities, provision of water in the hostels among others.

While urging the students to come out to display solidarity, the SUG however warned the students to shun every form of violence.
