NYSC – Management of the National Youth Service Corps has taken note of a story trending on the social media stating erroneously that a Corps Member serving in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja was killed in a crossfire between security operatives and bandits on Kaduna/Abuja highway on Friday, 13th May, 2022.
The true position is that the unfortunate victim, Aliyu Muhammad was a Corps Member mobilised in the NYSC for service under the 2021 Batch ‘A’ service year.
He served in Katsina State and was successfully discharged in February, 2022.
NYSC commiserates with the family of Ex-Corps Member Aliyu Muhammad over the tragic loss. From our records, he was a diligent and patriotic Corps Member who served the Nation conscientiously.
