A chieftain of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in Offa local government, Honourable Marooph Bukoye Bintinlaye has congratulated the winner of the party’s Wednesday primary election in the state, Mallam Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi.
Yaman, in the election conducted, scored 518 to beat his closest rivals; Honourable Ahman Pategi and professor Gana Yisa, who scored 31and 14 respectively.
Honourable Marooph Bukoye Bintinlaye, in his congratulatory message to Yaman said on Thursday said: “Hearty Congratulations to Alhaji Yaman on clinching the PDP governorship ticket last night.
“I congratulate Alhaji Shuaib Yaman Abdullahi, and I thank the PDP leadership who has remained neutral. I congratulate the PDP family in Kwara State who has given the state the most peaceful and organized process of choosing a candidate.”
Honourable Bukoye Bintinlaye also commended other contestants that participated in the election for their hard work and sacrifices. He called on them not to see the conclusion of the gubernatorial primaries “as the end of the beginning, but rather the beginning of the end.”
He went ahead to remind him that more work needs to be done to win over Kwara State in the 2023 general elections in the state.
“It had been a hard-fought and well-deserved victory. There is still work to be done in order to retake government house in Ilorin and reunite our great party in time for the elections. We must all rally behind the cause and work together to bring our party back together.
“As a PDP member, I pledge my complete and undivided support for Yaman and his upcoming campaign, as well as every effort to restore our party. Now that the primaries are completed, I urge all PDP candidates to come out and completely support Alhaji Yaman so that we may all win in 2023.” Honourable Bukoye Bintinlaye said.
