…..Consultant Commends Management led by Dr. Olarongbe

FEDPOFFA: The School of Applied Sciences and Technology of the Federal Polytechnic Offa has organized a training workshop on new trends in laboratory class teaching and current trends in laboratory technology for its staff.

The workshop sponsored by the management was handled by Shatinks Consults and Management Development on Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th of May 2022 at the Polytechnic mini campus.

The workshop themed ‘New Trends in Laboratory Class Teaching and Current Trends In Laboratory Technology Towards Enhanced Productivity’ had scientists and researchers with decades of teaching and research experience as resource persons.

The Director of Research and Learning Development, Shatinks Consults, Chief Shina Mosobalaje in his opening remarks commended the Polytechnic Management led by Dr. Olarongbe Afolabi for putting staff training and development into perspective. He also commended the Dean, School of Applied Sciences and Technology, Dr. Isiaka Azeez for organizing the training workshop.

According to him, “I would like to express my gratitude to the management of this great institution most importantly the acting Rector, Dr. Olarongbe Afolabi forgiven our Consults the opportunity to be heard and to be part of their success in regards to the development of its academic staff…my address will never be completed If I don’t recognize the efforts of the Dean of School of Applied Sciences, Dr. Azeez for his many efforts…”

The Dean in his Reaction acknowledged the efforts of the Management towards providing the necessary support and enabling an environment for staff training and development.

Dr. Azeez noted the challenges hindering the efficiency of scientists and researchers in the Polytechnic and advised researchers in the Polytechnic to always engage experts in a particular field in their research works for efficiency.

The Ag. Rector, represented by Deputy Rector Academic, Arc. TPL. Augustine Adama commended the Dean, School of Applied Sciences and Technology for organizing the training workshop. He said the Management will work on all the challenges mentioned for necessary solutions.

“This workshop is part of the Chief Executive’s vision for training Academic staff. I congratulate the Dean, School of Applied Sciences and his able lecturers for packaging this workshop, and the Management will continue to assist the school with the provision of facilities and equipment with required specifications,” He said.
